They would take the exact same cookie, change out one ingredient like chocolate chips and randomly visit local gas stations and grocery stores simply asking one question "Which one of these two cookies is the best?" They continued this testing on ingredients and cooking methods until they came up with what they believe is the world's best chocolate chip cookie.The very first Crumbl opened in Logan, UT while Sawyer was attending Utah State University (go Aggies). In 1952, a brand spanking new silver bullet diner was delivered to a small community in Upstate New York. This Mountainview Diner, built in Singac, New Jersey, Model No. 330, was slated to be “the most modern kitchen in all of upstate”. The residents of Herkimer watched in amazement as the diner was delivered on a flatbed truck and installed right along Main Street. For 65 years the Empire Diner has been the hub of the community and has held a special place in the hearts of many. It tells a story of a gathering of family and friends enjoying great food and lots of laughs. Otto’s Empire Diner has kept the tradition alive and well, winning numerous awards with their food. So, although they share the common name of "Nino's Pizza" the restaurants are no longer associated with one another on a business level. The 99th ave and Olive location has only switched hands two times. Once purchased from the original owner by a woman known as Gail who, after 19 yrs of ownership sold the business to it's current owner Chirssy. Chirssy has been owner/operator of Nino's for over 7 years (as of 2013). People come from all over the west valley to visit this famous restaurant.
