Established in 1970.
The original owner of Nino's Pizzeria opened up this location roughly 30 years ago. Two additional locations were opened, one of which still exists on 59th Ave and Peoria. The original owner sold the 59th ave and 99th ave locations as separate business. So, although they share the common name of "Nino's Pizza" the restaurants are no longer associated with one another on a business level. The 99th ave and Olive location has only switched hands two times. Once purchased from the original owner by a woman known as Gail who, after 19 yrs of ownership sold the business to it's current owner Chirssy. Chirssy has been owner/operator of Nino's for over 7 years (as of 2013). People come from all over the west valley to visit this famous restaurant. Some tell stories about coming in during their child hood and revisiting recently. Others have been coming in consistently for over 15 years. Community member loyalty has always been apparent and appreciated and this local restaurant.
Another great stop at Nino's today. The service was wonderful, the food delicious and worth the drive. We've been coming since my kids were little and it's always consistent.
Eh.
I wanted to like this place for the food. It's been around more than 3 decades. It's small, simple, clean.
Wait staff sweet but kinda distracted.
Food itself- I had a dozen wings and a salad- was overpriced and lacking in flavor. I ordered medium sauce and to me it wasn't event mild.
The salad was also pretty small and tired for the price.
Pizza was pretty decent- I had a bit of my friend's...but I purposely wanted something healthier which is why I ordered wings.
I'd probably return for pizza. But I'm focused on eating less processed carbs, so not a likely thing to happen super soon.
Have been wanting to try this place for awhile. It is a little "old-school"....meaning you can't order online or via an app. You call it in ;). That said, I ordered two pizzas and some wings and they were all delicious! They do text you when your order is ready for pick up. Very friendly, which is always a plus. Will definitely add this to our regular take out rotation.
While the wings and pizza are still pretty good most of the time, there are times when I just wonder if they were too busy or not caring when it comes to the quality. Half the time we have gotten wings and pizza here the wings have been barely sauced and either somewhat over cooked or slightly undercooked like they were rushed. And now that the price went up from $45 to $60 for 25 wings and pizza I definitely can't ignore quality for the price. Wish they were more consistent and could lower their prices back down!
