If you prefer slooooow service. Looking for your waitress so you can pay your bill this is perfect. Also to add n to the previous comment poor food quality as well. This is not just one visit but several. It's too bad it's close to where we live but we will have to travel further down the road. This would have been a nice local location but it's not worth the frustration and definitely not worth the cost versus quality of food and service.
I thought I had reviewed this establishment before but I was wrong. My apologies, but I'll combine both visits on here, because they were both 5 star.
Unfortunately, I don't have any photos because they were erased. But wasn't erased was the fact that both times I've been here, the host/hostess has always been courteous to me and my wife. *ALERT* Yes, read that again. The host/hostess are the first impression and set the tone for the dining experience. I don't care if it's a bar restaurant or 5 star Michelin, bad intro, bad experience. The first time we ate here they were very busy with karaoke night. Despite that our server was prompt (considering she had lots of tables) and the kitchen did a great job of
Getting the food out. Second time, I met friends from out of town. They had two dogs and we waited for a table outside. The host was a young gentleman that was happy and helpful. C'mon man! This is what it's all about! We were seated and they brought two
bowls of cold water with ice for the dogs.
Since the dogs were skiddish because of all the people, my friend sat in the car with them while we waited for the food. The server was so nice to package everything up to go for us. She smiled the whole time and even though we didn't eat there, we had a great experience! Sooooo...as you can see, I didn't talk about the food, but it's all good.
The service is EXCELLENT!
10 out of 10 would not recommend. I'm so saddened to write this update to my review . We've always loved Hurricane Grill, but the last few times we've been it's been mediocre at best. Tonight's experience was so dang bad that if I could I'd give zero stars and I'm bummed. My son asked to come here for his birthday dinner. It started out ok. We got seated fairly quick, drink order and appetizer taken. We had both fairly quickly. Our dinner entree orders were taken next and then NOTHING, NADA, ZILTCH from our server or the kitchen for over an our. My husband stated if he had cash on him we'd of left it on the table for our drinks and left. When our waitress finally came back she nonchalantly said our ticket never got entered and it should be our soon. Soon was apparently over an hour later. My sons food was awful and his fish n chips was one piece of fish that was so thin and mostly breading. It didn't come with a lemon to help the flavor. Needless to say he didn't finish it. My mahi mahi and sides were Luke warm at best and my husbands wings ok. Our server never apologized, took forever to even even bring a bill, and then we had to get up and find another employee to pay our bill so we could leave. We won't be back this time.
