Came here randomly when I couldn't find something to eat. Saw on yelp they had good reviews so I said, heck... why not? Well i am glad I came!
The ambiance of the restaurant is very welcoming. The seating was weird though as they asked for my number, text me my table was ready and when i showed up they sat someone esle as they didn't have my name and only called people by name, so that was weird. They sat me immediately after, so not a big deal.
We got the popo platter, sesame chicken and orange chicken and we loved all our meals. Food came timely and without fuss. The staff has built this everyone helps everyone mentality so you may not notice who your actual server is as I think every employee outside the cooks in the back stopped by to help us with refills and status checks. Overall we were very pleased and will be back!
Stopped by for lunch and I'm glad I came early because they are busy! We did not order from the lunch menu and instead ordered a sampling from their dinner menu. We started with an order of egg rolls and the wonton soup, deciding to hold off on ordering entrées since everything comes out of the kitchen quickly. The wonton soup was delicious--lots of plump dumplings and a flavorful broth. It's a generous portion--the two of us finished it off, but it could easily serve four. Our entrées were the sizzling rice chicken and the Taiwanese style beef. The sizzling rice didn't come on the traditional hot plate, so no sizzle, but it was still tasty. I would order a side of rice with this next time, because this dish is very saucy. The Taiwanese beef was my favorite dish with excellent flavor and texture. Moderately priced for the whole meal. I'll add this to my list of places to stop in the west valley!
Went for lunch with a group of 5. I 'm an ex east coast guy and finding anything that tastes like New York Chinese food is usually hard to come by.
I haven't had Egg Foo Young in over 30 years and thought I would give the lunch special a try. The dish had 2 nice sized patties of Chicken Egg Foo Young and Fried Rice with and Egg Roll and Crab Puff. The patties were piping hot. I actually burnt my upper pallet. They were tasty but my only critique is, there wasn't enough chicken.
The group in all was satisfied with their lunch. Next time I will try something different.
