Authentic Japanese food and drink at an affordable price! Happy hour is all day so come and enjoy!
Short answer: GO. EAT. ENJOY. This place is FAB!!! It's the best sushi I've ever had in Arizona and some of the best in the world: seriously!!!
Long answer: I went here two years ago (Sep 2019) and recently returned (Dec 2021). It's as great as it was then if not better.
NEVER EAT SEAFOOD IN A LANDLOCKED COUNTRY: but there's always an exception to the rule and this place is it!
The sushi is excellent and the staff are great (the owner's son was our waiter - you could HEAR his smile under his mask).
I travelled 5957.82 miles to see my mom here in Arizona (I live in Europe) and this place was on the list. At 85 years old, she loves this place too!
My tip: the lobster sushi was the BOMB: absolutely to die for!
I look forward to seeing you guys in a year or so upon my return! Thanks to everyone at Nagoya Sushi!!!
The reviews are great so we had to go for it! Was not dissatisfied at all! Party of three with 6 rolls and only 2 that we didn't care for, the salmon skin roll was strange and not our taste, super crunchy and fishy, also the spicy tuna tempura was bland. However the oasis roll BOMB!!! The jalapeƱo roll divine! Las Vegas roll and calamari tempura roll really good!!! HH is all day so the price was right! $60 for my family of 3, 2 of which are men! We left stuffed!!
This was our first time here, it was pretty packed. We were seated right away there wasn't a wait. However when we were seated we were handed one menu and then they walked away. We were a little confused as to why we were only given 1 menu when there were 3 of us.
They came and took our drink order dropped off the drinks and walked away... finally they came asked if we were ready and why we hadn't marked our menu... honestly I was looking for the little paper that most of the sushi places use.
My son and I had the Teriyaki Bento box, my husband ordered shrimp fried rice. We also ordered the happy hour golden California roll, spicy tempura tuna roll, Crispy tuna roll, shrimp tempura roll.
The bento box came with a miso soup, which seemed to lack flavor, side salad, teriyaki and white rice. It was ok but I felt like there was a smell coming from the dish/bento box itself. Our rolls were all decent. I was actually a little bummed after reading the great reviews I think I was expecting something special but I didn't find it. My husband said his shrimp fried rice was just ok.My biggest complaint was the service... it was really bad. We had to flag someone down anytime we needed anything, for refills, napkins, sriracha, a fork. We noticed it was not only us having the same type of service. There was a group of people there that I believe were regulars as they were leaving the entire staff thanked them and said goodbye, we didn't get a thank you or anything. This is not on my side of town and even though I frequent this area I don't think I would go back.
Pretty tasty sushi place. It is in a strip mall and what you expect for a sushi place in a strip mall. Crab was imitation. But most things tasted good. Skip the sunomono salad. Cucumber was sliced very think and then they throw Mayo and fake crab on top.
Other rolls were delicious!! Definitely get the Oasis- sooo good! That cucumber was sliced very thin.
Service was good. Lots of people working and very friendly.
Having lived in Japan for 16 years, as well as having a Japanese wife, Nagoya Sushi is the best sushi we've eaten this side of Tokyo!
