Bánh Mì Bistro is an independent Vietnamese eatery, conceived by husband-and-wife team John Le and Ha Nguyen. After helping run the family business (Little Saigon Restaurant in Old Town Glendale) for several years, they decided to open up their very own fast-casual food venture in late 2014. Since then, they’ve been serving the Phoenix area their classic and modern takes on the iconic bánh mì sandwich (awarded Best Banh Mi by Phoenix Magazine), as well as other staple Vietnamese dishes and specialty drinks. In keeping with tradition, all meats — including our homemade liver pâté and BBQ pork — are cured and marinated in-house. Established in 1970. The original owner of Nino's Pizzeria opened up this location roughly 30 years ago. Two additional locations were opened, one of which still exists on 59th Ave and Peoria. The original owner sold the 59th ave and 99th ave locations as separate business. So, although they share the common name of "Nino's Pizza" the restaurants are no longer associated with one another on a business level. The 99th ave and Olive location has only switched hands two times. Once purchased from the original owner by a woman known as Gail who, after 19 yrs of ownership sold the business to it's current owner Chirssy. Chirssy has been owner/operator of Nino's for over 7 years (as of 2013). People come from all over the west valley to visit this famous restaurant. Some tell stories about coming in during their child hood and revisiting recently. Others have been coming in consistently for over 15 years.
