The meat is actually very good and flavorful. I'm from California and recently moved to Peoria from LA, so I have been missing those tacos!! But this little gem satisfied that craving. The carne asada is just a smidge salty, but not anything crazy to ruin the experience, since it was still very tasty. The carnitas were great, and the chicharron actually maintains its crunch! The salsas were interesting, and not flavors I'm used to having, but I still found one I really like. I did not try the guac, but maybe next time.
And, if you care about people wearing masks or not during this time, I will say the person who took my food order behind the glass was not wearing one.. But the cashier was. Both of them were extremely friendly and made me feel welcome, so that was a nice customer service experience. Even though I always wear a mask in public, I was able to overlook the lack of a mask thing because he was friendly and there was a glass barrier between us (that holds the meat), as well as a low rack in front of the glass that holds the local tortillas they sell (so there was distance).
While still on the matter of covid, their Panadería section was a little small but consisted of the basics that go well with a cafécito. All of the bread was packaged in bags already, so there weren't any tongs or trays to share, if you're worried about that.
This little market also carries snacks and beverages, so I picked up a glass bottle of Coke, of course (if you don't already know this, Mexican Coke bottles are the best because the Coke is made with real cane sugar and not cheap high fructose corn syrup), which always goes perfectly with tacos. Their beans are also very good, but my husband loved their rice more (I thought the rice was decent but preferred the beans). Oh, and the tortillas were fresh too.

Found this hidden gem driving from nearby Sun City on my way to another mexican market and decided to try this place. I ordered the chicharones and carne asada with rice and beans and their warm fresh corn tortillas! Their carne asada was not that good, more like beef jerky and hard to chew. But the chicharones, rice and beans were the best and want to try their other meats next time.

Another great experience today. It was a bit difficult to get to today with all the road construction, but we won't go anywhere else for our asada and chicken. We purchased about 12 pounds today for a party we are having along with salsa and guacamole. The guacamole alone I could literally eat in one sitting. It's chunky and a bit spicy with tomatoes, onions etc mixed it. Delicious. They also serve a limited menu of tacos etc.
