This place is awesome! The waitress, Brook, she was awesome!!!! It's our first time here and she explained everything and answered all our questions. The food is soooo delicious. Everything we got was delicious.

I was supposed to have gotten a feee appetizer, but they ended up charging me for it. I didn't realize that until after I left, or I would have gone back. When I did realize it was already halfway home, and wasn't about to drive 6 miles back then another six to get back to my current location over a $10 bowl of soup.
Aside from that the experience was very good, and the food was amazing. I got a bowl of mushroom soup, a margarita pizza, and a gnocchi with a Gorgonzola cream sauce. If you were to go to Italy and get a pizza this is exactly what you would have received. I asked for it Napolitano style, which is a slightly thinner and crispier crust. The mushroom soup was delightful and the cream sauce for the gnocchi was perfect: not overwhelming and perfectly balanced, and the gnocchi that it enveloped was just the right amount of dense and chewy without being too heavy or potato-ey (yeah, I know that's not a word; what are you, an English teacher?).
The place is a bit pricey, and because of that (and given my culinary training at the CIA in Hyde Park, NY and love of cooking) not an every day spot. These dishes are ones that I would gladly make at home for myself. But the quality of the food justifies the cost and I can't imagine anything there would ever be bad. I don't often get to this area, but the next time I do I am very much looking forward to hitting the spot again. I would highly recommend it, and look forward to my next encounter there.

Hubby and I watched "Check Please, Arizona" over the weekend and this restaurant was highlighted. We both love a good Italian dinner, so decided to head over there ASAP. Well, we ended up going tonight and are so happy we did. (BTW, they're closed on Mondays, so this was the first chance we had.)

We went early to avoid any rush...and traffic...which turned out really well for us. When we arrived at 4pm, the place was pretty much empty, by the time we left, it was filling up.

Our server, Abby, was very friendly and answered any questions we had. We started with the bruschetta trio, which consisted of a classic, fig & brie and heirlooms & goat cheese...they were cut in half, so we were each able to enjoy them. They were really good and the bread was perfectly toasted.

For our entrees, I went with the gnocchi-red, but substituted tomato sauce for bolognese. Hubby got the gnocchi-red as is, but added meatballs. Their gnocchi is described as soft pillows...they were so light and airy, they literally melted in our mouths. We were practically licking the plates...so good!!!!

For dessert, we each decided to try one. I got the torta nutella...decadent, yet light and not overly rich. Hubby got the creme brulee, he ate it so fast, I don't remember seeing it...LOL!

Everything was so delicious! It's a bit of a drive for us to go here, but it was definitely worth it. We'll have to go back again soon, cause there were lots of things we'd like to try.
