About

Randy and Dan grew up in Orange County, California, where you could find a Mexican taqueria on every corner. The food was great, but they knew there was an opportunity to create a taco shop with not only authentic Mexican food, but with a unique vibe inspired by their Southern California roots - the Taco Life was born, and the first Chronic Tacos swung open its doors in 2002. Inspired by badass, 3rd generation recipes, a laid back experience with an irresistible edge, and personal, friendly service -the Taco Life movement continues to spread across the nation.

The food here is really pretty good. The service was decent. I didn't like that the staff was wearing masks but all incorrectly wearing masks. Every one of the 3 I saw have their masks only covering their mouths - noses completely exposed.

Either you require masks and wear them correctly or don't bother. This in between stuff is stupid/useless.

Owner should be aware staff is doing this. He/she/they probably are not.

Used to really like this place! This is the first time we've been in quite awhile and they've clearly gone down hill. No longer allowed you make your meal as you go so you tell the cashier and they make it after.

My bowl was completely wrong, wrong beans, no pico which comes with the Baja style. No salsa in the bag, which was also included. Good thing I asked for "extra" because that's all we got and we originally asked for red and green.

And the service was not great either, not very friendly and clearly did not care about making the food the way it was requested.

Not to mention, we got chips and guac and they weren't burnt and covered in grease like they gave us the last 5 in the batch that had been sitting for hours.

All of that for $25 and the portions are half the size of the bowl. Not worth it and I'm super sad and disappointed that this is our meal :(

It was simply just not worth the visit. I ordered the chronic fries with carne asada, my fam ordered tacos - they were not very big; came in corn when ordered flour. I get better flavor from Filiberto's. My fries were not crispy and limp. No hot sauce was on it either. Mind you, we were the only ones in the place so no excuse for crappy food and not getting our order right. Keep on driving!
