First time but not the last time visiting the Copper Penny in Sun City. We went there this evening to hear the Tina Bailey band. Tina gets rave reviews throughout the valley and now we know why! She sings and plays all of the songs we want to hear and she and her band play them exceptionally well!
So hear are the reasons YOU might enjoy the Cooper Penny:
1.) Excellent entertainment with bands you can dance and sing along with!
2.) Excellent service - our server tonight was Melody and she was both very busy and spot on!
3.) They actually PAY local musicians to entertain their customers. So many try the cheap way by offering bands the "pay to play option" which means the bands have to sell enough tickets to their friends and family to get paid for the gig. Not here, and on top of it, they do NOT charge a cover! And last but not least, their prices are excellent! No overcharging for drinks or food, just a really well run establishment that gets everything as good as it gets! Thanks, we will be back soon, particularly if the TB Band is coming back.
P.s. this is a great live music venue. The band is up close and personal but not so loud you can't dance and have fun! Well done you guys and gals, very well done, and the food is great too!
I've only been three times, but each time was a blast. Live music (different band each time) was excellent and the the dance floor was hopping. Even though it was crowded, the servers were consistently on top of things. Sun City's hidden little gem.
A great neighborhood bar to come and have a good drink. Live music and karaoke on select days. A great place to dance have a little bite to eat with wonderful drinks. Plenty a room together as a group.
