What a fantastic meal for such a great price.
We got 2 appetizers, 2 sake bombs, and a roll for $45.
We started off with the calamari and the screaming o. The calamari was covered in too much batter for my ladies liking but for me it was perfect. Those onions and peppers were charred perfectly also. I thought it went great with our second app the screaming o which was seared fish swimming in ponzu.
The Philly roll was just all my faves rolled in rice you can't beat it.
We are absolutely coming back. One of the best sushi places in the NW.
Our go to place for Sushi. Locally owned (two locations) and close to our house.
Great selection of sushi, appetizers, as well as selection of vegetarian dishes and some Chinese food.
Full bar with a great selection of liquor as well as a mix of basic domestic beer, sake, and Japanese beer. If you bring kids, be sure to order the Ramune Strawberry Lemonade and without reasing the instructions, try to figure out how to open it.
Straight flames on all sushi and the pot stickers. Pricey but it is what it is. Also took a while to get the food

3 pieces of the Spicy tuna rolls had negi /ground maguro that tasted off. I could not eat them. My husband covered them with wasabi and sauce to mask the off flavor, even though I told him he should not toy with off tuna!! (He was very hungry ...) Oddly, the rest of the batch were fine.I did not take away 1 star bc of this since I felt that the quality and overall service was deserving of 5. I will return to this site for more sushi!!! The fish overall tasted wonderful and though notable to me, I think that the spicy tuna was a fluke.
Service - very friendly, quick , and helpful.
This is my second time at this place. This time I drove 45min here to eat their sushi. I consider myself an educated sushi enthusiast. I can taste when sushi is good. I hate driving, so for me to drive from Ahwatukee to all the way to Peoria to eat here says a lot. The staff was great, the owner, Kelly, is such a personable lady. Fish is very fresh. I'm coming back here again and again.
