Bánh Mì Bistro is an independent Vietnamese eatery, conceived by husband-and-wife team John Le and Ha Nguyen. After helping run the family business (Little Saigon Restaurant in Old Town Glendale) for several years, they decided to open up their very own fast-casual food venture in late 2014. Since then, they’ve been serving the Phoenix area their classic and modern takes on the iconic bánh mì sandwich (awarded Best Banh Mi by Phoenix Magazine), as well as other staple Vietnamese dishes and specialty drinks.
In keeping with tradition, all meats — including our homemade liver pâté and BBQ pork — are cured and marinated in-house. Everything is prepared fresh with natural ingredients & vegetables, and our bread is locally-baked and delivered daily! Using family recipes but with a fresh culinary take, Banh Mi Bistro is committed to serving authentic Vietnamese food that’s fast, fresh, and full of flavor — all at a reasonable price!

Me n the wife got the #1 sandwich, crab puffs, pot stickers and a coffee jello shot to share. We each had the small Thai Tea for beverages (no weird flavourless blobs of stuff in our tea). $34 all together.
Everything was fresh and full of flavour! Some of the best crab puffs and pot stickers ever!
The Banh Mi sammy was great! (Only one I've ever had)
The coffee jello had a layer of sweetened condensed milk on top that made it a perfect after lunch treat!
The Thai Iced Teas were on par with all of the good ones I've had!
You could tell that many of the other customers were regulars that didnt even check the menu to order.

I am pleasantly surprised by this place! I didn't have many expectations because I only chose it as it was close by to me. This is the first time I'm trying Bahn mi. I'm not much of a sandwich person. Anyway, I ordered the BBQ pork sandwich and it was delicious. Worth every penny! The pork was tender and not overly sweet. There's a bit of fat (which I loved) but it's to be expected because of the type of cut.
Definitely will try to make another trip!

Amazing! I had the 4 (grilled chicken). The baguette was fresh, the sandwich was huge, for only 10 dollars... Unreal.
