From September of 1989 until June 1999, my wife and I owned and operated "Town Line Deli and Pizzeria" on Cape Cod Massachusetts.
Back in January 1999, we vacationed in Arizona at my brother's house in Arrowhead. Anthony and Tina told us the area was starving for a "family" owned Pizzeria where families can enjoy the casual atmosphere and great back east style Italian food at a good price. On the airplane ride back to frigid, snowy, icy, Cape Cod, Judy and I decided to put our pizzeria up for sale and move ourselves and our son Robert to the Valley of the Sun.
Our hopes are to establish a casual family atmosphere at an affordable price. We look forward to providing you with the finest, freshest ingredients available and we will do our best to ensure your visit is one to remember. Chino Bandido
Chino Bandido Takee-Outee has become a cult favorite among foodies in the valley (and around the country!) since its inception in November 1990. Founded by Frank and Eve Collins, who still own and operate the company today, Chino Bandido blends traditional flavors from Mexican and Asian cuisines — based on Eve’s Chinese heritage as well as their local roots as both Frank and Eve are native Arizonans — and some Jamaican flair added in for good measure!
When the husband-and-wife team originally opened their doors, Chino Bandido was just a humble 1,000- square-foot restaurant with seating for just 16 guests modeled after the “hole in the wall” establishments that Frank and Eve love. And the love for Chino Bandido rapidly grew among local diners, which quickly necessitated the restaurant’s growth. As the couple realized most diners wanted to come in and enjoy a sit-down dining experience versus taking out, they expanded year by year until the restaurant encompassed more than 6,000 square feet and provided seating for 150 guests.
In early 2021, Chino Bandido announced the closure of its original location after more than 30 years in favor of a new location at 310 West Bell Road, which is underway. Eve, who carries on the restaurant’s legacy solo since Frank passed in 2013, decided it was time for a change. The new location provides 6,000 square feet, much of which is dedicated to an expansive kitchen where the brand’s favorite dishes will continue to be handmade from scratch using the time-honored recipes and lots of love.
Chino Bandido’s iconic flavors, such as Jade Red Chicken, Chinese BBQ Pork and let’s not forget those scrumptious snickerdoodles, have gone beyond earning the restaurant a true cult following. Chino Bandido has received local and national media attention — including being the recipient of Phoenix New Times’ Best of Phoenix “Local Eatery We Wish Were a Chain” award as well as coming in first place in AOL’s Best of Phoenix “Cheap Eats” category. Chino Bandido also caught the eye of Food Network star Guy Fieri, who visited the restaurant during 3 episodes of his show “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.”
Chino Bandido operated a food truck until June 13, 2021 on the site of the new location featuring a modified version of its menu, allowing fans to get their fix as the restaurant near completion.

In 1958 the first Village Inn Pancake House opened its doors in Denver, Colorado and began offering what has since made us famous— made-from-scratch buttermilk pancakes, fresh eggs cooked any style, sizzling bacon and a pot of steaming hot coffee.
More than once, vacationers in Denver stopped at Village Inn for a bite to eat and enjoyed it so much that they inquired about franchise opportunities before leaving. Such requests inspired co-founders Merton “Andy” Anderson and Jim Mola to place an ad in The Wall Street Journal for prospective franchisees. It all started with one big dream, two crazy cousins, and the perfect combination of flour, sugar, and chocolate chips. After thousands of dollars in wasted dough, recipes that did not live up to their expectations, and cookies that were just plain embarrassing to them today, the cousins decided to try something a bit unique, A/B testing their way to the perfect cookie. They would take the exact same cookie, change out one ingredient like chocolate chips and randomly visit local gas stations and grocery stores simply asking one question "Which one of these two cookies is the best?" They continued this testing on ingredients and cooking methods until they came up with what they believe is the world's best chocolate chip cookie.The very first Crumbl opened in Logan, UT while Sawyer was attending Utah State University (go Aggies). Since then the franchise has expanded to 260+ locations in 36 different states. Each continuing to spread warm, fresh, delicious cookies to Crumblrs everywhere.

Pepe's Lounge
Pepe’s Restaurants have continuously served the Southland with fine quality Mexican food. Pepe’s was founded in 1962 by three brothers, Joe, Tony and Fred. Unable to find steady business at first, the location was changed several times before finally settling in Alhambra in 1962, where the name was changed permanently to “Pepe’s.” During these early years, the brothers often relied on the help of family members to keep the business growing. In 1962, their nephew “Pepe” was sent to fight in Vietnam. This is when Tony, out of love for his nephew, renamed the restaurant after him, Pepe's.
In the following years, the restaurant had become a great success. However, in 1973 Tony passed away leaving Joe and Fred to run the business solely. In 1976, the youngest of the three brothers, Fred, joined in helping to expand Pepe’s Restaurants with the opening of the Downey location. Since then, Pepe’s has continued to grow, opening locations in both Los Angeles, San Gabriel Valley and Orange Counties.
The restaurants have continuously served authentic, high quality Mexican food, keeping their secret recipes inside the family. This has made Pepe’s the well-known establishment it is today

Otto's Empire Diner
In 1952, a brand spanking new silver bullet diner was delivered to a small community in Upstate New York. This Mountainview Diner, built in Singac, New Jersey, Model No. 330, was slated to be “the most modern kitchen in all of upstate”. The residents of Herkimer watched in amazement as the diner was delivered on a flatbed truck and installed right along Main Street. For 65 years the Empire Diner has been the hub of the community and has held a special place in the hearts of many. It tells a story of a gathering of family and friends enjoying great food and lots of laughs.
Otto’s Empire Diner has kept the tradition alive and well, winning numerous awards with their food. Among the most notable are the Best Cheeseburger and Best Bacon Cheeseburger awarded by the New York Beef Council and the most recent acclaim of Best Diner in Upstate New York as voted by hundreds of thousands of New York residents.
Otto’s Empire Diner is home to the work’s largest Omelet as recognized by Ripley’s! Believe it or Not. This amazing omelet consisted of 41,040 eggs and an unbelievable 2,128.75 square feet.
We are proud to be affiliated with such a wonderful establishment. It is our goal to offer outstanding meals and service with the same distinction as the original New York diner. We pass on excellence and quality without compromise.
On July 29, 2005, The now Otto’s Empire Diner opened their first location in Phoenix Arizona at 3502 W. Greenway Road Ste. # 20.
