It's Just Wings
At Brinker International, we’re no strangers to building restaurant brands. We already know how to make magic with burgers, ribs, fajitas, margaritas, pastas and homemade desserts. It’s pretty simple, actually. The Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen in Goodyear, Arizona is all about good food, made well, for a good price. How do we pull that off? By cooking from scratch. That’s our secret ingredient, and it makes for great tasting food at an even better value. What does that mean exactly for the people of Goodyear? That means large plates full of Santa Fe Spinach Dip or Cheddar's Cheese Fries after a day at the Wildlife World Zoo. It means huge Painkiller cocktails (the limit is 2 per person for a reason!) to celebrate the end of a long work week. It's warm, made-in-house Honey Butter Croissants and hand-breaded Chicken Tenders piled high that are perfect for sharing (or not! We won't judge!) Our Food Is Fresh… Nothing Has Been Frozen
Our initial idea for a richly flavored menu was that our recipes would be made fresh every day. And, that our meats or other food groups would ‘only’ be fresh and never frozen. As we were to find out, this concept is more easily attainable in a traditional sit-down restaurant. Our model, requested by the owner, called for a drive-thru format where a totally fresh menu would be provided for a fast-food restaurant and Phoenicians on the go.
The difficulty with serving fresh food in a fast-food delivery style is timing. In a regular restaurant, the food is ordered and the chef or cook puts the meats on the grill or flat top. When it’s done, it is served to the customer. However, in fast food, the traffic speeds have to be anticipated and cooked just ahead of the customer driving through the drive-up lane. Our Brushfire staff, led by Sione Saenz, was able to unlock the secrets of timing and stay committed to providing fresh, never frozen fast food to our customers that really tastes good.

Nothing Bundt Cakes
To find the perfect recipe, you first need the perfect ingredients. And that's what our founders Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz were for each other. In 1997, they joined forces, or better yet kitchens, to help make cakes to entertain their friends. The cakes they made were delicious, unlike anything anyone had tasted. As a result, their friends and family asked them to entertain more and more. They quickly realized this side project of theirs could be something more. There was a gap in the world for delicious cakes, readily available, that didn't compromise on their ingredients. Fresh eggs, real butter, and real cream cheese; nothing was too good to achieve perfection. And perfection are those decadent, slowly melting bites, we all know and love. Flash forward and the Nothing Bundt Cakes brand has grown nationwide. Built on Dena and Debbie's vision, each bakery still has the warmth and nostalgia of its home-kitchen roots, but they also take a modern approach for the world today.
