If your looking for a crispy thin crust pizza then this place is for you. The pizza has a great taste from the brick oven and then crust is very crisp. I would have liked if the sauce went further out to the edge as I had more than an inch of sauce less crust.
They are dog friendly on the patios which is a big plus. The atmosphere is very welcoming and definitely screams Italian pizzeria! The staff was very friendly and food was served in a timely manner.
The place was pretty busy when my party and I arrived, and it only got busier. We chose to sit at the bar, so we didn't really have a waiter. The bar staff gave us waters right away and took our order. Since it was busy, it took quite awhile to get our pizzas. I forgot to order pepperoni on my pizza and ordered a side of it a few minutes before my pizza arrived. It came out too late but I don't blame the restaurant since I ordered it late. The bar staff was kind enough to take the pepperoni off the bill. The pizzas we ordered were non-greasy, flavorful, and delicious. The marinara sauce was perfectly seasoned and the crust perfectly cooked. For dessert, we ordered the dessert trio. The cheesecake was smooth, decadent, and flavorful. The tiramisu was decadent, smooth, and strong. The cannoli had a crispy, non-stale shell with a sweet, smooth filling. My experience as great and I'll definitely come back!
So we're on a road trip here in Arizona for a wedding and our first night in Scottsdale trying to figure out where to eat. I thought of pizza, but I'm very partial to Grimaldi's and with the fairly recent closing of our only Grimaldi's in California, I thought maybe there's a Grimaldi's in Scottsdale. To my surprise, they have at least two in our area, so it was a no-brainer where to go for dinner.
Located in this beautiful outdoor mall setting. Not a large place, but still the Grimaldi's we love and one that we're used to. Very happy to find out it's the same exact Grimaldi's. I didn't even look at the menu and preceded to order our usuals.
Service was excellent this evening by Jake and No, he's not from State Farm's. We come to find out he's fairly new with Grimaldi's and that we probably knew a little bit more about the Grimaldi's history, but Jake was a true professional. I can't say we had any issues this evening because there were none.
The food is still our favorite Grimaldi's taste that we love and are used to. Scottsdale Arizona is too far of a drive from California to make it frequent, but now that I know they exist here, whenever I'm in town, I know where we're going. We might just have to order a pie to go for the long car ride back
Really really good pizza, I just wish the toppings weren't so expensive to add since I like a LOT of toppings. However, I got their seasonal pesto bacon asparagus pizza but I swapped out the bacon for some roasted red peppers and added mushrooms and it was awesome! The only thing was it's supposed to have a hot honey on it and I honestly could not taste it at all. But I love how fresh the veggies are, the cheese and the crust is just perfectly crispy! We also split the house salad and the dressing was delicious!
