Launched in Old Town Scottsdale back in 2015, two close-knit brothers had a dream to make great-tasting and affordable Mexican street food. They cooked fresh meats over real mesquite wood and captivated their guests with real street flavor that reminds you of being in places like Rocky Point, Mexico. When lines started to form and people came back daily, they knew this little taqueria could be something special.
Mesquite Fresh Street Mex has 8 locations and has plans to grow in communities throughout Arizona.
Your food is so delicious I inhaled it without taking a picture...my bad!
Burritos and quesadillas on point. I'll have to come back to eat some tacos.
Fresh mex that doesn't weigh you down.
I think my friend summed it up best, "only good if you're drunk." I'd rather go to Filiberto's. Because it's on Mill it's always poppin, especially late at night.
They don't serve quesadillas past 11pm which is disappointing. We opted for the steak burrito with all the toppings which came out to $11. It only came with two tiny salsas, a green and a red when I asked for red. Admittedly the burrito was very large. Rice and Beans were bland. Salsa was mild, not spicy. Steak, dry and tough.
Overall it'll get the job done when you're drunk but otherwise avoid.
Went to the new one on Val Vista and Queen Creek. Never experienced this place. Had the bowl. It was okay. I had mixed meat. Steak and chicken. The meat was very bland. The whole thing was bland. Chiplote and Café Rio is better. Kind of bummed. This place is close and I left disappointed. Plus its pricey. 3 of us the bill came to 35 bucks. Hot sauce is good though. I won't be coming back. This place isn't going to last if they don't change things.
It is located in Tempe downtown and gets crowded during the weekend. But they're super fast, and it only takes a few minutes before you have your food.
We had beef and chicken quesadillas and loved both! The 4-star is only for the taste of food, because usually, the environment is not clean at all.
