Went here for dinner and wanted to try a little of everything so we got the short rib poutine, the Sweet chili wings, and meatball sub.
The short ribs poutine were unlike any other poutine I've had. Fries were cut and cooked crispy, they use this awesome nacho cheese sauce instead of curds, then finish it off with gravy and pickled onions. Who knew gravy and nacho cheese can combine for one of my new favorite indulgence foods.
The wings were grilled, and and cooked perfectly to fall off the bone. This place is a real contender for best wings in the area. I would highly recommend the sweet chili.
The meatball sub was mostly a pork meatball, okay sauce, cheese was meh. Probably would go with something else next time.
The in house beers were such a nice find and happy hour prices on Wednesday were an even better find. The orange blossom ipa was my fave.
We were invited to Join Oggi's by friends for dinner. I was not that excited because I've been there before and it was just average at best. It is my understanding there is a new owner/manager so I'm going into this with an open mind. It was definitely a pleasant surprise! I ordered a half Mediterranean salad which was huge so I can't imagine what a full-size one looks like. All the ingredients were fresh the chicken was perfectly grilled and it was delicious! We also built our own pizza, thin crust with just olive oil brushed on the crust with Italian sausage ground beef and artichoke hearts and ricotta cheese. Again this did not disappoint it was so great. We will definitely be going back sooner than later. Congratulations on changing my mind!
We ordered a pizza and a sandwich thru Uber Eats. Since the restaurant is only 7-8 minutes from the house we thought this would be a good idea. WRONG. The food arrived on time just as expected, and looked fantastic. However we had to heat everything up in order to eat it. It was barely warm!
Black Magic Stout with 2 pounds of wings done 2 ways; bottom half of the plate was Sweet Thai Chile; top half was Mango Habeñero. The Thai Chile had great flavor but was very low on the heat scale. The habeñero were spot on and made me sweat; the sign of just the right amount of heat. Overall, the wings were crispy, well cooked, and had good flavor. Two thumbs up, I'd go again.
