About

LBR is a family-owned and operated business only in Arizona. We serve different traditional Filipino & occasional Asian dishes everyday. This is a point-point (turo-turo) type of fastfood restaurant where you pick the food you like by pointing to the dish at the steam table. There are a variety of dishes served and the choices change everyday. We have dine-in & take-out options serving 1-3 entree meals with rice, a la carte entrees & soup dishes, BBQ, fried or grilled fish, different kakanin(goodies), drinks & desserts. Cebu-style lechon is sold per pound on Saturdays & Sundays. We provide casual catering, whole lechon & bellychon for your party needs and our dining area is available for special events, meetings and gatherings up to 60 people. Filipino food is a melting pot of different influences from the Spanish, Chinese, Thai, Indonesian & Indian cuisines of the people who have colonized or settled in the Philippine islands throughout history

Lutong Bahay is great when I don't feel like cooking Filipino food even if I'm craving it. They have great dishes to choose from, awesome snack choices and friendly staff.

I loved their Kare kare. It's so tasty and perfectly seasoned. It reminds me of my mom's cooking. Their dinauguan, lumpia, sinigang all of it is tasty.

They have Eden cheese, pan de sal, and cheese rolls from Porto's. I'm so happy that I found this place.

Lutong Bahay Filipino Asian Restaurant & Markey is a casual cafeteria style restaurant & market located in Glendale. It's nice and clean looking inside. If you are like me and not the most familiar with Filipino Cuisine ordering can be difficult because there are no descriptions of the food that I could find. So I asked if they had any chicken dishes today..I was shown one dish that looked like chicken rice soup and it looked good but I wanted something else and spotted the fried tilapia and went with that and a scoop of rice. The fish was seasoned nicely and prepared very well. It was an amazing bargain at only $6.75. but it was kind of a plain meal. Maybe if they had some side vegetables that I could. add on it would be more special.

My husband had a 2 entree combo (only 8.99). He had a beef dish dinuguan and pork adobo. Both dishes were prepared very well. The beef was falling apart tender and was extra succulent.

They also offer some groceries and baked goods. One of the baked goods I spotted sure looked amazing. I would have bought one but they came in large family style boxes.

LOW PRICES and BETTER than fast food!

Three stars is a positive review on Yelp and means A-OK Worth. Trying!

If I had one last meal, it would be at a Filipino pot luck dinner. I'd choose Ramon, the owner of Lutong Bahay, to prepare Lechon, Lumpia, and Ube- and If his voice is a fraction as good as his cooking, he'd be invited to sing karaoke as well.

Lutong Bahay means "home cooking" in Tagalog-and that's truly what you get here. There is cafeteria style ordering and a grab n go area. We ordered Lechon (size L) for a holiday party. The Lechon is cooked with Lemmon grass, green onions, and garlic. It amazes me how something can be so crispy on the outside was tender the inside. Ramon seems to have the magic touch. I will definitely stop in for lunch soon. The pastries looked delicious as well.

I have mixed feelings about this place. I ate at the restaurant and also made an order to go. I ordered a three item combo to eat at the restaurant and got Kare Kare, Beef Bulalo and Pork Sinigang. The Kare Kare was my favorite and was delicious. The Beef Bulalo and Pork Sinigang had good flavor, but the meat was a little overcooked. When a rush of people came in, service got very chaotic and the staff seemed to be confused and flustered. I ordered Halo Halo and it took almost 30mins for me to get it.

The restaurant was very clean and welcoming.

I took home some cassava cake which was delicious as well as a tray of Palabok. The Palabok was ok. They used the thicker pancit noodles which is not my favorite. I also took home an order of Laing which was very good.
