Rito's Mexican Food is celebrating 45 years of business this year and we could not be more excited about the future as a company. What began as a neighborhood convenience store within the Garfield Historic Neighborhood quickly found itself selling more burritos and tacos from its limited "to go" only kitchen, than grocery goods. To that end, Rito and Rosemary Salinas decided to pivot Rito's concept into a take-out-only Mexican Food establishment that has served the "Valley Of The Sun" time-honored family recipes spanning generations. Rosemary and Rito have since passed the company on to their daughter Charlotte who embodies the same work ethic her parents instilled within her over the course of their careers. Like a true family-owned business Charlotte works alongside her sister, nieces, nephews, sons, and long-time staff some of whom have been with the company for over 30 years. We’re proud of a lot of things, but we’re most proud of the community that we get to experience each and every day in and around our shop. And we certainly didn’t build this community – it was here in the surrounding neighborhoods and schools long before we broke ground. Rather, we saw an opportunity to serve and host this thriving community and concluded that a great coffee shop would be a great way to do this. Our doors opened in August 2019, and we haven’t looked back since. Community matters to us, and that’s exactly what pushes us to serve the best coffee with the best service.
