Bright, contemporary eatery with outdoor tables serving inventive comfort fare & cocktails. The Vic Bar + Kitchen is located in Victory at Verrado and serves from-scratch dishes for lunch & dinner.
Gayle's Sister Erin (and Husband Jim) just bought a lot to build a house at the nearby Victory at Verdano development in Buckeye. The Vic Bar + Kitchen will be their neighborhood restaurant and what a view and pleasant surroundings it offers.
After touring the models and inspecting Jim/Erin's homesite, the 4 of us (me, Gayle, Meg, and Ron), retired the Vic to relax and report out on our findings. Gayle also reported back to Erin regarding our approval. And now with Gayle's college friend and family in Buckeye, no doubt we'll be back to help enjoy this 55+ "Disneyland".
We sat outside (for the view and the nice weather), but I found the inside to be very nice as well. The menu had good variety, with half the table choosing a flatbread option, and the other half opting for either a Mediterranean Chicken Wrap or a burger. The food was very good, with the service matching the ambiance.
For a Very out of the way restaurant, the atmosphere should be more special as the views are incredible . The set up of tables is awkward and the tables too tall to sit at. They also should take more advantage of the view but they are all tucked away under the cover of the bar. It's loud and busy and more like a 19th hole bar.
The site just is craving elegance and more of a quite ambience.
The food was good and we all enjoyed our meal. They did seem to be out of some drink items.
Just okay so unless you live close and want to get a bite probably wouldn't miss this place too much.
You should try at least once however.
The Vic is our new favorite spot!! First, and most important, our server was an absolute pleasure. Thank you Ashley!
My favorite was the donut holes, I could eat those every day if they wouldn't go directly to my thighs!!
Had a great lunch out here today. Our server was friendly and the view was great. The steak sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I've had in quite some time. Can't wait to stop by again. Maybe try out dinner and see if the menu is different than lunch.
