What pure joy was experienced while devouring this subtle delicacy! From the light and flaky phyllo pastry shell, to the light and creamy, but not too sweet, mascarpone, to the fresh and bursting trio of berries that rested atop this masterful pastry.
Each layer wove a tapestry of texture that would make even Anton Ego pause mid-chew as synapses started firing, revealing a dessert experience finally attained!
They're only like six bucks... get a couple.
A much better experience getting Gelato today for the family. Last time we HAD options for our family but were told no even though I looked up the ingredients on the brand they use and requested some. Today there was a sweet young lady and she was glad to serve us some yummy raspberry Gelato. Now my photo shows a skimpy looking scoop for $5 but that is only because we didn't want the cup full and requested just the one scoop before she added more. Glad we came back.
It's been a while as I had been to the location in Scottsdale a while back and enjoyed it. We popped in while waiting for our order next door. The place was clean and decorated so cute. They have many pastries, gelato and espresso drinks to choose from. We went with 2 peche con crema, sfogliatelle and a salted Carmel mocha. It was $13 and change which wasn't bad at all. The sfogliatelle was SOOO good! Best I have had. The peche con crema we didn't really care for as it was dry. The presentation was really cute though. We really enjoyed the salted Carmel mocha as well.
Overall a great place to pickup some good Italian desserts and gelato. We will be back to try some of their other items again!
The Sicilian Baker is a must go place after eating next door at the Sicilian Butcher!
They have Cannolis, delicious Italian Cookies, Gelato and the best Espresso machine outside of Little Italy. If you like Italian espresso and I love it, you need to order it from here.
Expect to spend $10, $20, $30 or more and it's well worth it!
