We tried this place while in the area for dinner. We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak which was very good. The baked potato was overcooked. The mashed potatoes were awesome made with fresh potatoes. The service was very good and you cannot beat the prices. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. Will return again when in the area.
Well I went to the Royal Cafe with my parents and they have been here several times. We went in chicken and dumplings special night so of course that’s what we ordered! The food was really good, it came quickly (as I would expect when ordering the special) the service was also good. There wasn’t very many people in the cafe while we dined and that could just be that dining out crowds maybe haven’t came back out in full force yet but my parents enjoy eating here and generally it appears the crowd of patrons are mainly older folks, not that there is anything wrong with that but it just seemed like a place where older people eat……we did even get some desert and it tasted great, we got it to go and ate it later at home that same night and we all enjoyed what we ordered. The special portions were large and my parents did have leftovers to take home. I would recommend this cafe to anyone wanting a good solid meal as their specials taste great and you get plenty.
Quaint little dinner good food and service. We took my husband there for his birthday lunch and he got their New York strip steak and it was cooked perfectly for him just what he asked for. I had the Gyro and it was delicious the meat was very tender. We will be going back for sure and I'm sure my mom will too.
My pork chops were dry but my mom's chicken fried steak was excellent. Have been told breakfast here is the best so I'll try that next time
