Convivial chain dishing up hearty portions of New Orleans-style seafood, steaks, salads & more.
Great Cajun seafood!! Great place if you like your seafood spicy!! Great service. Definitely recommend!!!
A friend recommended trying Pappadeaux and it did not disappoint.
Food was delicious and the portions were YUGE. The calamari and gumbo were good but the Atlantic Salmon Alexander was something I was not mentally prepared for. Regardless, I was going to it work and left feeling very much satisfied. Needless to say, I thought this dish was divine.
Our server was polite, attentive and diligent. He was also very accommodating to my boyfriend's request on his po boy order.
Last but not least- I loved the ambiance almost as much as the Atlantic Salmon Alexander.
All in all, I would gladly go back to Pappadeaux in a heartbeat if I didn't live 300 miles away in Vegas.
While visiting friends in the Phoenix area we came here for dinner one Saturday night. Good thing we made reservations, this place was sooo packed, it took waiting in line for 10 mins just to check in for our reservations! It was RIDICULOUSLY PACKED! The tables were so close, that people kept bumping my chair as they walked by. The service was bad too... it was non-existent and when he did show up, he was rushed to hurry take care of something for us and run to the next table.
The food was decent though, it was fresh and had nice flavors. The prices are too high for being the type of restaurant it is, which isn't a fine-dining place. The place is beautiful on the inside, with gas lanterns on the walls. The courtyard you walk through to get in and beautiful as well, but was cluttered with dirty dishes and people sitting on anything with a flat surface.
Overall, I think I'm DONE with this chain... I was at the location on 1604 in San Antonio a couple of months ago and the service there wasn't that good too.Seems like poor management at a higher level. Their Pappasito Cantinas in DFW are actually really good though, I'll definitely continue to go to those. But not this place anymore.
Didn't live up to the hype. I've tried this place twice hoping for a better experience. I'm from Texas, and I've had Pappadeaux there many times. The one in Texas is far superior.
My biggest disappointment was the boudin. It's so hard to find. I was excited and the taste was drab. I threw it out.
The seafood just wasn't very good. Not sure if I'll try again. If I do, I'll only order a burger or a salad.
I tried all of the following:
Andouille Sausage & Seafood Gumbo
Blue Point Oysters - these were good.
Dirty Rice - just ok.
Oysters on the Half Shell - good
Blackened Catfish
Boudin
Shrimp
