About

My family is not Italian but we are Brooklyn bred. This is my take on what Italian should be and I know my dad, Paul, would be proud. Located in historic downtown Litchfield Park, the town dad migrated us to many years ago. Welcome to the Mahoney family.

Food was good, we had the classic bruschetta and while both of us are not the biggest fans of tomatoes, the tomatoes they had on the bruschetta were delicious. The pizza was great, they weren't light handed on the toppings at all, the drinks were good as well. The patio area was cute and the atmosphere was good.

If the food and atmosphere was good, why only 3 stars? Well, the service. The service was not adequate. We sat for about 10 minutes, which was not a big deal in and of itself... but another family was seated behind us about 10-12 minutes after and was served almost immediately. 5 minutes pass and finally our server shows up, he takes our order and everything comes out relatively quick. We didn't see him much throughout dinner until it was time for the check. It's worth a second shot, though. Maybe on a different day and at a different time.

Great Pizza. Good calamari. Wine was good too.

Seated fast. Good service. Cool spot near a few other restaurants

Definitely more of a wine bar feel that a pizzeria. The more upscale vibe is a good fit for the location. On a mild Spring day, we enjoyed dining on the patio. Most patrons were doing the same, so service on the patio was attentive.

My husband and I opted to split a salad and pizza. Pizzas are very thin crust. I recommend eating in. Not sure the crust would travel well. Crust had a bit of a chew to it. 1918 Pizza toppings were plentiful. The thin crust didn't leave us felling bogged down. Honey burrata salad was crisp and fresh. Dressing was both tangy and sweet. Creaminess of the burrata really shined.

The spot made for a nice mid day date.

Down here for spring training and found this on Yelp and I wasn't sure if the initial pictures I saw made me want to go.
When I got there, I knew, vacation gem! Neighborhood Italian place with amazing pizza. Really good vibe with outdoor seating. We started with the burrata glaze which was amazing! Burrata cheese melted with heirloom tomatoes and a Parmesan balsamic reduction with bread. Very nice presentation also, see pic. We then shared the Brooklyn pizza and a gluten free sausage and ricotta pizza. Excellent pizzas. Very nice crust, delicious home made sauce, everything tasted fresh and home made. Great atmosphere. We plan on going back for the ELOTE pizza yes elote pizza- mind blown! Mozzarella ricotta cotija corn tajin cilantro and a jalapeƱo mayo. I have to try it!
