My husband ordered a PRINCE cake for my birthday and it came out AWESOME! The bakery worked with him to help him pick out an image that would show up really well on the cake and it came out so cool! He even had them add some other words that are our own family saying and they did everything to his specifications. So that is the outside of the cake which is pretty great by itself! The inside of the cake is vanilla with caramel between the layers. It is super delicious and since most GF desserts are either chocolate or chocolate (at restaurants etc.) I was very happy to get my favorite which is vanilla/caramel.
We also purchased a cake for my son's birthday party before the pandemic. The 2 of us were the only ones that have to be GF but got a huge cake for all of the guests. Instead of having a "special" GF cake for my son and a regular one for guests we bought a big cake for everyone. Not only is it delicious and nobody could tell the cake was without gluten - it was really nice for my son to be able to eat the same cake as his friends for one day!

In Mesa for the weekend hanging out and I decided to try My Gal Sal Bakery. Sweets are my weakness so finding a place with good vegan treats would make me so happy.
Vegan coffee cake while it was tasty it was a little too sweet for me. After 2 bites I couldn't eat anymore but my friend loved it.
Vegan carrot cake the cake was hard and inedible I threw it away after 2 bites.
Vegan cinnamon roll I didn't like it either.
I really wanted to like this place but it's definitely not for me. Maybe I got a bad batch or on an off day. In any event I won't be back.

We certainly got a treat this season when a co-worker (who happens to be a neighbor of this entity) brought in an entire box of personalized, brownie pops!
First, I had never had a "cake pop", none the less a brownie pop! These weren't just cute with the fantastic, custom company logo decoration- they were REALLY good! The interior brownie was just like you'd expect a true brownie to be- not too "cakey", but soft, moist & slightly gooey as if you'd taken a piece of a recently baked pan of brownies. The exterior chocolate was not too thick & didn't break into a million pieces making a mess. It really was the perfect portion of indulgence in a few bites!
The logo was fun. I mean, you CAN eat it if you really want to... but, it isn't suggested. Best to peel it off & eat the actual brownie pop. But it truly made the presentation, and we were overly impressed there were SO many in that box! Plenty for everyone to indulge & take some home to share.
If other goodies come out just as pretty but perfectly delectable on the palate- I highly recommend! I'd be very happy to order some custom goodies here in the future. They really take the time to make these special & the quality is certainly up to par. Thank you so much for the treat & I look forward to trying more!
I have had My Gal Sals bakery bookmarked for months but the only day I feel like I can get over here is Sunday and they are closed. We happened to be somewhat in the area when I remembered it's Saturday and they're open! We walked in and it took a bit for someone to come out of the back but I was eyeballing all their options. Initially I was worried that they have so many options that the treats might not be that great. I would rather have someone do 5 things really well rather than 25 options done so so. My Gal Sal hit ALL the marks with everything we got!
We got 2 cake pops, a sampler of macarons, 2 additional birthday cake macarons and a confetti cake slice. It was $39 for everything but the macarons were $25 on their own so everything was priced reasonably. Macarons are always pretty expensive due to the process of making them. They're not a quick easy bake.
The cake and cake pops were fresh tasting and had really good flavor. The kids really loved them. The macarons were absolutely done right. Nice light airy fluffy and a good filling. I liked there was an option for a sampler so you can taste their different options they have. So yummy!
Definitely give this place a try. They have breakfast options as well and a keto bagel sandwich is calling my name in the near future. They really have something for everyone and you will not be disappointed in your picks. I cannot wait to come back and check their other choices out!!
