This morning bought 4 cream horns. When got home and took them out of box, found tops in all 4 very very dark brown, almost burnt. When I tasted each end of all 4, they all tasted burnt. So I cut each one into half and found cream filling didn’t fill up entire inside in any of the horns.
Not worth the money, not worth the trip or the gas to go to this bakery. Very disappointing!
This review is for my 10" birthday cake" that is now my all time favorite. Not sure why I didn't find this place sooner. Probably because it is what critics call a "hidden gem." IT REALLY IS HARD TO FIND.
If you like Italian food you need to stop by here for dessert. This cannoli cake was superb. Just like I envisioned and my taste buds kept wanting more. The only thing I would add would be some cannoli pieces on the top to get the whole experience like being in Italy. The creamy filling is where it gets the name. If you LOVE cannolis, this is the way to go!
How is it that while in strange new places; cake and pastry shops gravitate my way!
While in Arizona many many times my Yelp app was a blessing in all the ways of life in a brave new world!
Surprise, my sister calls and expects me to drop my
world because my nephew is a babe in arms and she cannot run the company. So off to Arizona for eight long months to run the company while she does the "mama job and raises the baby." While there, Surprise, Az was where I landed as a temporary home. It's filled with so much life, all these huge box stores. Where are the local places? In Las Vegas little local businesses are all the norm. In a sea of big box this and that; the yelp app offered this glimpse of hope for my Italian sweets weakness.Who does not love a cannoli? Sure they are best home made, but while here in Arizona; I rarely saw my home. I spent more time in my truck. A girl on the run, the needs of daily calories were gathered here. Happy is gilt free and full of whatever makes you happy. The Italian type of pastry is delicious here, it was close to home. The selection was incredible. They always have something available at great cost to the consumer. Your helping a small business. What's not to love?
The pastries are all made in house? One day on one of my many moments visiting here. This was a usual haunt too. I highly recommend it. Anyways, let's rewind to when junior turns twenty one. We were going to celebrate his birthday in Vegas when we returned in a month. What kind of a mother does not spoil her kids? This boy, junior had about three celebrations of his birthday. The cake for his special twenty one came from here. No notice, just waltz in and they had cakes ready. I explained my issues with no cake and no call for one they explained: "how can we help." They decorated a cake for junior with no notice and no extra charge aside from the cake itself.
A cake and a smile. My goodness the staff here went above and beyond all expectations. In Vegas such cake joy does not happen with the waving of a wand, planning in advance has to truly happen. Now when your in the neighborhood stop in for your daily Italian sweets fix. Cakes, and other sorts of sweet concoction spark up joy and happy find your form. Happy is yours always, now shall we go to the bakery!
They have expanded and have added a cafe now!!!!! It has been open the past 2 weeks. I was here about a month ago and didn't notice a thing! This place is huge! Service is better than ever! Gluten free options have a new chocolate mousse cake that should be illegal to sell is is so decadent! Awesome meals to go averaging $7,99. Must come see!

Wow. The owner Rebecca is an absolute piece of work. I had a work phone call to finish. I answered her question about what i wanted immediately, but because im on the phone she is openly talking crap about me out loud to all the workers. Zero apology, zero remorse when bringing it up to her. I travel to new people every day all day. I have lead hundreds of cuatomers to this business. Never again. She is the worst person in a business i have ever dealt with.
Italian-American New Yorker here. This is hands down my favorite bakery in AZ. I have never had anything here that I disliked. Sweets are just beyond delicious.
Two new young men working today. No customer service skills. Very rude. Also ordered Easter lamb cake white frosting no coconut. Picked it up it was chocolate
They said they can’t make just white What!!!!! Worst experience ever after years as a customer !!
Actually, my rating would be a minus if I could. The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. A friend and I were treated like an inconvenience and we were the only two people in the bakery. One of the girls behind the counter, Rebecca, told us and continued to insist that customer service wasn't important because people come in for the pastries. Evidently, the owners Eugene and Jori agree with her. Wow, have things changed. With attitudes like that I don't know why anyone would want to go there. Customer beware.
New to this bakery, only been there 3 times. First 2 times picked up food, it was good. A couple days ago took my grandkids to eat lunch there. Out of bacon so they got sandwiches with sausage instead. Awful. Undercooked. Tasted terrible. They picked sausage off sandwiches.
That’s not the worst.
I do not eat cows or pigs. Only turkey or chicken - on occasion. So I need to be careful with cross contamination when my food is prepared or I will get sick. So the area where sandwiches are made is not cleaned between sandwiches. I asked the lady making sandwiches to pls change her gloves. Again, if she had just handled beef or pork then handled my food, it could make me sick. She rolled her eyes! Then I asked if she could put something under my sandwich, like foil or a paper plate, and not put it right on the board where beef and pork was. She stopped and literally made a disgusted face, huge sigh, and another eye roll.
Wow.
She clearly does not understand that some ppl have dietary restrictions.
And clearly doesn’t care. It was a huge inconvenience for her.
I went to seat my younger grandchild at a table and get drinks. My grandson told me later she had not changed her gloves and did not put anything under my sandwich when she made it.
This girl had a major bad attitude and knows nothing about customer service. My requests were not crazy or out of line.
We will not be going back there. And I will NOT be recommending this place to anyone.
