Max's Sports Bar was established in 1978, making it the west Valley area's first sports bar. With over 95 TVs located both inside and out on the patio we broadcast nearly every major sporting event from a variety of teams. From college basketball to professional baseball, you can catch your local AZ teams or out-of-state alma mater games all under one roof. We do off-track betting (OTB) and have a player's club that can earn you great rewards. Great bartenders great atmosphere if you enjoy betting snd drinking. Bartender Chris is the best!!
Chris hope all is well in your world
Let's face it ever since management changed and Chris left this place has gone down hill. We used to love going to Max's after work but with the increase in prices lack of service I think I'll find a new spot. Take a look at the famous "Max tots" this is a full order btw $7.99!
Maxs is a historic restaurant offered in a neighborhood off the beaten path. You will need directions to find this establishment in an area that is not well lit. Enter the parking lot with plenty of potholes, and plenty of parking.
If you end up entering into Max's bar the customer service is very suspect. The sign entering the door states "seat yourself" this is fair warning for what's to come.
The customer should assume that they need to let someone know that they need some attention after seating themselves.Max's general manager (Aaron) has a very complacent foresight for the restaurant to the fact that Max's is closed several days a week including days that local pro teams are in championship runs. Aaron has driven away customers with his lack of vison for several years now. I am not sure that Aarons undoing can be repaired this will take a complete180 to bring this once great bar back- GOOD LUCK!
Hey Aaron --Welfare checks are for families that need them: they are not for corporate bullshit that sit on their ass!!
Great neighborhood bar. John is a newer bartender and was great! He made sure my salad was made perfectly and made me a green tea that was perfect.
