I was very excited to try LongHorn Steakhouse. I'd never been to a LongHorn Steakhouse. I'd eaten at an Outback plenty of times, but LongHorn had never been on my radar in quite the same way. I ordered a house margarita, a house salad, the most popular appetizer, and a bone-in rib-eye steak, medium-rare, with a side of loaded baked potato and steamed vegetables.

The bread at LongHorn was hot and fresh. It had a honey-wheat flavor but was dense and not too sweet, which I appreciated. The whipped butter was really nice and melted perfectly into the bread.

The Perfect Margarita is INCREDIBLE It's huge and expertly mixed! Even after just a couple of small sips, you feel a little buzzed. A refreshing combination of el Jimador Tequila, PatrĂ³n CitrĂ³nge, and all-natural sweet & sour. It wasn't too sweet, and it had a juicy, fruity flavor that balanced well with the tequila. It's dangerously drinkable.

The salad looked appetizing. It's always a good sign when a salad is colorful. Having mixed greens instead of plain lettuce makes such a difference. I thoroughly enjoyed this salad. It was light and balanced, and the balsamic dressing wasn't too sweet.

My server told me that the Wild West shrimp was one of the most popular appetizers on the menu. They were perfectly fried: light and crispy on the outside, and light and soft on the inside. I was impressed that the shrimp wasn't overcooked at all. However, I expected more flavor from the breading or marinade.

The baked potato was huge and really loaded! It had a balanced array of toppings: cheese, sour cream, bacon bits, and green onion. It was cheesy and bacon-flavored without sacrificing the sacred union of sour cream and potato.

When she set down the LongHorn Outlaw rib-eye, my server asked me to cut into it to see if it was cooked to my liking. It was perfect to my request of medium-rare. The steak was fatty with a crispy outer char. It was slightly undersalted, and I got the sense that the steak relied on its butter sauce for most of its flavor.

LongHorn Steakhouse is ostensibly Texas-themed, but it looks pretty generic from the outside. The decor inside is also fairly subdued, relying on paintings and sculptures to evoke the restaurant's Texas roots. Booths and tables were dimly but pleasantly lit.

LongHorn really impressed me with its aptly named Perfect Margarita, expertly fried shrimp appetizer, well-balanced baked potato, and surprisingly delicious house salad. I'd go back to LongHorn for the shrimp and margaritas -- if not for the steak.

The service was wonderful! My server frequently checked to see if I needed anything but didn't rush me at all. I felt completely taken care of, and frequently refilled my water.

Always a pleasant visit at this location, service is reasonable not too long of a wait for the food to arrive. Service is good, our table was always attended to when when passing by us we were acknowledged, very profession staff, knowledgeable of the menu. Food taste amazing, the portions are great, the environment is clean and classy. Definitely would come back.
