Living on the westside we are limited to outside sports bars, this place kept popping up so we decided to try i it! Hoping to watch the all star game which we were way to early early for, had a great patio table outside but no sound. The service was great and the food was really great!! Hot and fresh, the beyond patty's were very good!! We were all satisfied! Only slight issue was the behind patty was $5 extra on top of the burger price and that was not mentioned on the menu so we had $20 burgers. Not cool. Also not cool that there was no sound outside for games.
Ok. Happy to nudge this fine establishment up to a 5. Way impressed by 1. The quality of the killer Saturday steak special AND 2. They hire musicians of impressive character. Micheal Nitro didn't just acknowledge the staff before he kicked off the night, he did so with genuine care and mentioned everyone by name! Pretty stellar in my book. Kudus, Lakeside, you're alright.
My friend and I enjoyed brunch on Sunday at Lakeside B&G. We started off with a flight of mimosas and the chips with guacamole and salsa, which were pretty good. My favorite mimosa was the pineapple followed my the OJ one. My least favorite was the pomegranate. I ordered the chorizo bowl which was huge and my friend ordered the French toast. No complaints, everything was quite good as well as the service.
After spending most of our day at a celebration for life for a long time friend my husband and I stopped for a late lunch . We've driven by many times, but never stopped. The parking lot here can be a real nightmare so we typically don't stop anywhere near it. Today we lucked out and not only found a spot quick it was right up front. Upon walking in there is a very small lobby area where we were greeted right away and seated. They have shirts and things for purchase as well. There is nice outside seating with heat lamps on cold days like today. They have a pretty large bar which is open seating, but since we wanted a table we had to wait to be seated. Plenty of tvs to watch a game and such . It was really busy through out our time there which is a good sign. We started with the chips and salsa and added guac for a small charge up. My husband ordered some beer and said it was nice and extra cold. He loves a super cold one. I decided on the street tacos with mahi mahi for my main course while my hubby went with steak and shrimp fajitas. Everything came out quickly. The tacos were honestly some of the best fish tacos I've ever had; loved the sauce. My only complain was the corn tortillas fell apart pretty quick and wish they'd offered flour/other option. The rice and beans were ok...beans a little too runny for me. Chips and salsa good, chips crunchy and guac fresh. My husband liked his fajitas, but that beer sold him ha ha ha. Dis I mention they offer beer flights and mimosa flights for brunch? Service was great and we never had to ask for refills etc. We'll be back soon I'm sure.
