La Perla has been a Glendale icon since 1946. After closing it's doors in 2016, a new family came in to revive the beloved brand. "We knew it was special. The choice was let it stay closed or step up and help it stay a part of the Glendale community." explains Mark Tafoya, the new owner and operator.
I love the new food and drink menus. It's a great place to watch your favorite sports teams.
I especially enjoy Thursday Salsa Dancing Night, and Martha is so warm and welcoming as she teaches her Salsa Dance lesson.
Definitely worth checking out, in old town Glendale.
Fun spot and great vibe! Weekly specials bring in a large crowd. Plan ahead as they get super busy after 9pm. The lines go 5 people deep. Everyone wants to come in and dance! The DJ spin fabulous music non-stop!!
Starting with Salsa Thursdays dancers from all over The Valley come and share Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Cha-Cha moves. There's a free lesson starting at 7pm. Friday and Saturday nights spin off with Happy Hour old school, cumbias and top 40. Saturday nights are packed as the location is prime real estate to watch the Glendale Cruise from their outdoor patios.
Lastly their food is tasty. They have revamped their menu but left many known Specialty Dishes for those wanting a taste of Mexico. Chef puts out good quality at a reasonable price. Servings are generous.I read mixed reviews but honestly go for yourself and give them a try. Expect busy and expect fun. Come and dance and eat the night away!
Great food! Great drinks! Great service! Martha does an amazing job every time we go there, she definitely knows her stuff! La. Perla is in the heart of Glendale and parking was easy, must check out this cool sports bar.
Everytime I've been at la Perla Mexican Sports Bar I've been received splendidly. Their service is Johnny on the spot. I've never had to tirelessly wait to be waited on.
My friends and I Had a great time here! Martha was a great host and very attentive, definitely recommend La Perla to anyone looking for a great place to hang out and have a great time... They also have an awesome Salsa night on Thursdays with the awesome D.J. Crush!
