Relaxed place with simple decor where plates of sushi circulate on a conveyor belt.
Our specialty is conveyor belt sushi. Various types of sushi (and other food and drinks) rotate throughout the restaurant on a conveyor belt. The price of items on the conveyor belt is $2.50 per plate all day. Simply take the items you want from the conveyor belt and stack the empty plates on your table. Your server will count the color and quantity of plates when you are ready for your check. Every item on the conveyor belt has a red tag that indicates the name and ingredients of the item. In addition to our delicious sushi we have a full kitchen menu, kids menu, beer, wine & sake. We have plenty of room for large parties and are a family oriented restaurant.
Update 2022. My favorite sushi place in Phoenix continues to be consistently outstanding and delicious. The variety of sushi grows with new sushi rolls and nigiri. The toro is one of my favorite new items...so rich and flavorful.
There is new competition in town - Kura sushi has come to town. I have eaten at Kura in California and Texas many times, but Kiku is still my favorite place in Phoenix. Kiku continues to be a favorite of the entire family due to the wide variety of dishes and freshness of the fish.
Fun place! There was a bit of a wait but it went fairly quickly thanks to one of the women clearing tables and serving. She was very on top of it. There was one other girl working with her and she was not as experienced. She was also our server and was not knowledgeable on vegan or vegetarian options. Not sure if she was new or not but we waited so long for her to come back with answers that one of my sons and I just decided to go eat somewhere else while my two other non vegans ate their food.
The non vegans loved it all though! The food looked fresh and my son had the best time grabbing things off the revolving belt. No complaints on the food from them!
I would definitely suggest a menu vegetarians and vegans can order off of.
Great pricing! I've came here twice in one week because of how affordable it is. The sashimi is good. I don't know why 20/30 sushi roll have crab salad inside. Maybe it's a supply chain shortage? I tried to get things that didn't all have crab salad in them. Overall, great spot and I'd go back.
We were served fast, the food was fresh & kept at an appropriate temperature. We left full & happy.
