If you're a smoker, this dive needs to be your next visit.
When I opened the door, I was greeted with an aroma that would knock Joe Camel off his feet. There was a sign in the middle of the bar with scathing criticism of Arizona's anti-smoking laws, and as I perused the contents behind the counter I noticed a bit of ash.
Not that they condone or allow smoking in here, that's totally against the rules. That must have been one sneaky smoker...
...anyways, the bar has a pretty decent selection of liquors. The prices for a shot are written right on the bottles, which is actually pretty cool. I don't like their beer selection because there was Budweiser, Bud Light, Bud Golden Wheat, Michelob, and Shock Top on tap, but no Coors Light. I was not pleased, and being handed a beer that was not substantially cold did not aid this.
But for some reason I forgive them--on Sundays and Mondays, Well drinks are only $2 from 6-Close. Not the *best* deal, but hey it's pretty decent.
There's the standard dartboards, but one was broken, and the darts were kinda bent. Also, there's no freaking ATM, which made me roll my eyes.
Overall, I have to forgive this place for it's shortcomings, because quite frankly it's gruffness was charming. It's not my kind of place, personally, as I'm not a smoker, but if you are then you've gotta give this bar a chance. If you're not, still check it out because that area needs more places with character.
Came in here jus fr a driink. At 1st I thought it was a dive, BUT the waitress was so niice , n the music switched Frm Rock&Roll to hipHop real Quik. Then I realized there was jello shots fr a $1.....
Happy I came in.
Great staff, great owner, good drinks and drink prices. Clientele are very friend. It's a very nice neighborhood bar. Bike nights are great it's a must stop in place.
