If you like fresh bagels, then you'll love Hot Bagels. The shop makes its bagels by hand, not by machine. The bagels are crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside, the way real bagels where meant to be and all of them are hand roll boiled and baked bagels daily. We serve breakfast and lunch everyday. It's quite a show to watch the large mound of dough being hand rolled and boiled. It smells great, too. The shop also has a full deli selling all your favorite appetizing meats, cheeses, and a large assortment of spreads. Scumptious deserts are available
I simply love this business! The Lax Bagel with cream cheese is my favorite- and I usually always bring an extra 5-6 Bagels back home with me as well. Service is awesome! Their people are the best!
I usually pre-order online, especially in the mornings, since they do get rather busy. By the time I get there, the order is ready, food is fresh and I'm on my way.
Great job!
It's 10:30 am, we had a club soccer game at 8:00am. Only had coffee in the morning.
We are running to the next game.
Someone in the chat says let's try this place out.I reply with excitement, "let's do it!" But in the back of my mind, I'm concerned with the how heavy this is. If I have my boy eat a bagel before another soccer game, I'm going to big him down. And if I eat an entire bagel, I'm packing in the pounds..
Let's try it anyway.
A soccer team outside this place has crazy. But guess what!? They had enough seating.
Got to the counter. And I was very surprised on the variety of options. Hot or cold, on a bagel, burrito, or a wrap. With a smile or without. Lol jk.
I opted for something kind of light for my boy. A gyro with grilled onions. I ordered a pastrami on an everything, with grilled onions and Swiss and mustard.
1. The Gyro. Very good tasting, I can be too hard on them because it's a bagel shop. But it would definitely be something I'd reorder for lunch. It was well balanced. And the tahini was a bit oily, the meats, I felt was a little bit dry, but it was good overall.
2. The pastrami. Itself was good, a deli style. I ordered mine hot, so the Swiss was melted. Good stuff. High quality mustard. Which tied it together. The bagel, rich, fluffy, and good consistency. The toppings made it overly salty, but still manageable. I'd have to be on the exact mood to order this one again, since the combination of the bread made it hard to take a bite. And the pastrami being salty itself, maybe an onion bagel instead for next time.
Overall good place, busy, and clean. Lots of variety.
I only tried 2 things in their menu. Not enough for a 5 star, but enough to try something else.Morning or brunch, you can get something for everyone.
The bagels are tops, only downside is they now charge you to use a credit card. I don't think I've seen anyone do that for 15 years, disappointing they are passing that cost to their customers.
