History
Established in 2011.
The first George's Gyros was opened in 1987 in Des Plaines, Illinois. George was 5 years old. Theodoros (George’s Father) has had several award winning Restaurants in the Phoenix area before deciding to pass the torch down to his son. George and his father teamed up to open George’s first shop in Mesa, after years of training and practice George at the age of 24 was finally able to open up shop in Scottsdale on his own, a few years later he opened his second shop that he is running in Phoenix on a daily basis #MakeAmericaGreekAgain
This spot is a family owned local business, located right off the 101 and 27th ave. I don't know too much of their back story but their food is definitely considered famous in my books, it's to die for. Everything is made to order, packed with flavor, and filled to the brim of the plate.
The freshest greek salad, hummus + warm fresh pita bread, chicken Alfredo w/ warm garlic bread is my go to order (however, I'd also highly recommend the original gyro pita)
Decently priced perfect for lunch or dinner any day!
Great Food, service and clean restaurant.
Menu selection is diverse and should accommodate just about every dinner.
The staff is friendly and the owner is passionate about serving awesome food in a clean restaurant.
I wanted a Greek salad, and it was the best, this place is AMAZING!! George himself waited on us. He opens his restaurant at 24 yrs old. I think he said he had been in business for well over 10 hrs.
My friend and I shared a combo plate of falafel/chicken and a Greek salad. Everything was crazy good, locally-owned. I will be back.I wanted a Greek salad, and it was the best, this place is AMAZING!! George himself waited on us. He opens his restaurant at 24 yrs old.
