Genghis Grill

When we went in, there was no host at the door.. we wandered around for few minutes walking to the food service and to the bar until someone noticed us and sat us down. We assembled our own bowls. The food was good, but the service wasn't great. All in all I would come back again.

My wife and I have been to so many places this year and the service has been meh, at best. We were pleasantly surprised when we came here and had excellent service. Our server was attentive and kept out drinks full.
Years ago I lived in area and used to come here and hadn't been here in a while, we were sat immediately and was surprised that they were full service. We went through the line and made our own bowls and the girl behind the counter was amazingly nice to everyone and talked people through everything step by step and was extremely patient with anyone who had questions. When we made our bowl we handed it to the cooks who cheerfully took it and advised us it would be brought by. Our server was extremely cheerful as well and even though she forgot to ring in my meatballs. I didnt care.

had not been to this chain in since a few years and that was back in Houston. When I saw it I knew I was going in.

So a few things have changed. First you can still make your custom bowls but now they seat you like a regular restaurant and get your drinks, then you can ask for your custom bowl but you tell them what you want for a base (i got udon noodles with an egg) and they will bring you a small printed receipt with your name and table. After you get this you can go to the back and people behind the bar will get your plate (whatever size you ordered).

Then comes the fun part! I add as many meat types and condiments on my little bowl. Add the sauce of choice to my small sauce container. Take it to the table by the grill and then you go to your seat and wait for the fabulous creation to come to the table.
