We were staying at the hotel next door and went to First watch for breakfast every morning for 4 days. Great healthy good, gluten free options, great coffee and fresh pressed juices. Service was friendly. Highly recommend
I got the Lemon Ricotta pancakes and we shared a side of million dollar bacon. The pancakes were fluffy and light but very filling. I've never had (or even thought of) lemon pancakes but holy cow they were tasty. The fresh strawberries on top and the delicious maple syrup options made this a breakfast I will need to repeat soon. My companions got the chickichanga and the tropical French toast. Both smelled, looked and tasted amazingly good.
Honestly, the whole menu just had a 'fresh' vibe and there were a lot of gf/healthy options but they didn't LOOK like health food, ya know? Presentation was good and everything we tried was seasoned well & cooked perfectly. Even the condiments were not your ordinary bulk food store trash. I can't wait to go back and try something new because even the juices & drinks they had looked yummy!
Just had a very lovely brunch today. I moved to Az on August 3. I purchased my condo on March 10th and this was right down the street from me on Val
Vista Dr. My initial reaction when I arrived was, this will be a great breakfast look at the line. That is a true statement.I checked in and was told 25 to 30 minute wait. They took my phone number to let me know when my table was ready. It is a lovely stroll around the complex to keep yourself occupied while you're waiting for your table. There is also a Starbucks just down the way if you want a pre-coffee before breakfast.
We were seated in Dani's section and that was a nice treat. Being I am an executive chef and grew up in the industry I can be somewhat picky lol. You will have a blessing if you get to set in her section.
I watched the other servers and bussers and they all looked professional and didn't seem to waste steps as they maneuvered their way through the crowd. I tried to look at the different plating of things as other tables were served. Beautiful work by the kitchen.
At my table, we had the green chili chorizo omelette and the elevated egg sandwich. Loved it!!! I am on keto and my omelette came with mixed greens so that made me extra happy. I was a bit sad I could not try the beautiful thick bread toast and house made preserves.
The dining room is artistically done and very comfortable. Lots of people coming in and out but the flow stayed nice. Everything looked well cleaned and maintained.
Thank you to Dani and First Watch team for making the start to my weekend a great one. I look forward to my next visit. I also look forward to being able to enjoy a meal when im on a cheat day from keto.
My daughter and I were in Phoenix and in need of food after getting our nails done. We used get in line but it wasn't needed due to not being very busy. I think it was around 1:30 in the afternoon.
We were seated right away and our drink order were taken shortly. We both ordered the purple haze drink which was very refreshing. You can taste the lavender aftertaste which sets it apart from basic lemonade.
I ordered the Farmhouse skillet hash with over medium eggs and my daughter had the works omelet with no mushrooms. Food came outhot and fresh. Staff was friendly and attentive. It was good enough for us to return the next day.
