About

A little subtlety goes a long way -- especially when it comes to baking Old-World desserts from scratch. Here at European Bakery and Cafe, we're masters of balance and delicacy. We don't over-sweeten and smother with confection. We don't over-complicate and saturate with fillers. We've seen that when you show up in the kitchen with creativity and quality ingredients, you don't need all the sugar and additives. You just need some friends to share in the delight. So come join us here at European Bakery and Cafe. Enjoy a scrumptious sandwich on fresh-baked artisanal bread or partake in the delicate flavors and textures of a French-inspired pastry. We can't wait to show you how delicious a little subtlety can be.

Their attitudes are crap and they have people working there that are literally just dumb and slow. Aweful customer service and extremely slow service. Their cakes/pastries are waaayyy too overpriced and complicating to order as they suck at explaining things ! They look better then they taste... and for $70 I expected MUCH MORE out of this undersized/overpriced cake that they could have at least put it in a nicer container I could actually close from the top. Pretty cake but that's all it is. I wouldn't recommend it mainly because of the service (try smiling or being nicer to your customers more often!)

Got my sweet tooth going a found this hole in the wall bakery on the NW corner of Bell Road and 35th Avenue. Talk about a selection. All the breads, gelato flavors, pasties, sandwiches and more got my flavor alert going something fast. I got some vanilla cinnamon coffee which was outstanding. The samples of gelato were smooth and very fresh. I set my eyes on strawberry mouse to satisfy my sweet tooth. It was good except it tasted partially frozen. I think they need to raise the temperature just a bit in those display cases. Overall, these hidden gems really remind me of what made New York so special for me. It wasn't the big shiny restaurants but the family owned small shops that you had to seek out and had home cooking that made the trip worth it. European Bakery will make your trip worth it. Be sure to check out all the pictures I uploaded to get a real feel for the variety and great feel of this place.

Mixed feelings about this little place but I'd give them a second chance. Positives are the person in front of me picked up an ordered cake and it looked amazing, like art work. We just needed some sub rolls and they were good.

The negatives:
1) Barely anything in the display cases. We wanted to get a dessert too but there was literally nothing to choose.

2) The place is uncomfortably warm

3) Service was slow

4) Sign says mask required so my wife didn't have one and we complied, and she waited in the car. However, half the guest had no mask and it was not enforced. Either require it or don't, but do it fairly and make people adhere to your store expectations.
