About

Home-style Italian Cooking, Pasta, Pizza and Seafood.

History
Established in 1993.

The Tagliani Family welcomes you to our "Cucina". In Italian, "Cucina" means "kitchen". If your house is like ours, when family and friends get together, the kitchen is the place everyone wants to be! In 1993, there were just a handful of restaurants in North Glendale/Peoria. Today there are over 185; nearly a dozen Italian and 99% are National Chains. We are Family Owned and Operated.

Reviews

My boyfriend and I ate dinner at Cucina Tagliani before going to a play at the nearby Arizona Broadway Theater. I had been to Cucina Tagliani in the past, but it had been a few years.

The restaurant was crowded when we got there. The reason I bumped this review down from 5 stars to 4 stars was there were two other empty dining rooms in the back where they weren't seating anyone. They could have spaced people out for social distancing if they had utilized those two rooms. As it was, we sat pretty close to the other tables.

The food and service were fantastic. Our server did a great job at getting drink refills and another basket of garlic bread for our table.

I enjoyed my baked spaghetti. It is basically a brick of spaghetti topped with a combination of alfredo and marinara sauces. I had the smaller portion, which was the perfect size for me. My boyfriend had the 12" create-your-own pizza, with thin crust, pepperoni, and artichokes. He took a couple pieces home because he couldn't quite finish the pizza. It was pretty large for a 12" pizza.

Cucina Tagliani has a large menu with a lot of variety. They also offer happy hour and reverse happy hour specials most days. We will be back!

Tracy, our server, was lovely and attentive. The food, as always, was spot on and delicious! The baked spaghetti squash is my favorite item every time! I've been coming here for years and will continue to be a patron for years to come.

The place is nice. Our server was great. Polite and helpful. The food looked better on pictures. Although the clam chowder was good. The other things were mediocre, that I would've rather go to Olive Garden. But we wanted try some place new.

I got the clam chowder and the Shrimp scampi. They definitely weren't chinchy on the shrimps. All sorts of sizes. I am not sure what all was in it but something didn't taste right with the sauce.

My son got the kids pizza. Great in size and he liked it a lot. My husband got the lobster hoagie. For someone who likes seafood. Couldn't eat any of it. It's cold. And he wasn't expecting that. But he felt bad to say anything. The manager did come by but still didn't give us any discount lol. But he did say it wasn't their fault, it just wasn't good.

My family was in town to visit family here in Phoenix, and since we all like to get together to go out to eat, it's hard sometimes to accommodate large parties (11+ people). But this place was able to accommodate so we came here. The wait was not very long to be seated, which was good, but after that, everything took forever. The service was mediocre, and I understand we were a large party, but not the first, and not the last.
The food was good here but that's it. I ordered the pizza and I guess I set my expectations too high. For the price, it wasn't worth what I paid. I asked my wife about her dish (chicken parm with a side of spaghetti) and she was equally unimpressed. She preferred Olive Garden to this one. Looking around the table, everyone seemed to like their food, but I didn't hear any rave reviews. I didn't hate the place, it wasn't WOW either. There are many factors that go into me giving a 5-star experience, and maybe we just caught this place on a bad night. I have read other reviews and they have received some 5-stars, so it's possible we just came on an off night.
