My group and I decided to try something different from our usual seafood place and I'm glad tried out CNS.

For our appetizer, I can say the calamari here was better than most in that it was really well-seasoned and the breading to squid ratio was good! Rice was a tad mushy, but we could work through it.

The Castaway Combo is an amazing steal: 1lb snow crab, 1lb shrimp, 1 lb mussel or clams, 2 lobster tails, 2 sausages, 2 potatoes all for $85. Perfect and filling for two people. One thing I really loved is that the crab and lobster really had the cajun flavors imparted within in them. I've been to places where the shellfish don't really taste like much, so I was pleasantly surprised here. Shrimp is a bit smaller than I usually get, but an okay size.

I also ordered the sauce flight (coconut, CNS lemon garlic, all in, hawaiian) for an additional $10. It might just be me, but I don't think the sauces were wildly different from each other. There was just subtle tastes I could make out like the hint of coconut. I found the sauces to be a little oily to the point where I was trying to cut through the butter flavor to pinpoint more of that cajun flavor we all know and love. Overall, great sauces though.

I'd love to come back to try their customer favorite crab fries as well as garlic noodles because I haven't seen other seafood boils offer it!

I love this place, our waitress Alex was very pleasant and helped us with our order. I ordered the Captain's Choice which had snow crabs, lobster tail, shrimp and sausages. Everything was delicious and I loved it was served in a pan instead of a bag. I also had the clam chowder, it was very good, it was creamy and thick with nice pieces of clam. The owner Mary came over to our table to say hello and welcomed us. Her nephew Ryan also came over to say hello and offered his assistance if we needed anything.
Everyone was so pleasant and made us feel welcomed. The restaurant is very clean.
To top it off, they had steamed rice. Thank you Crab n Spice.

First off, I'd like to say that the seasonings in the bags are exceptional. I prefer the variety CNS has over Hot N Juicy and Angry Crab, and I have a feeling that this would enhance the dishes we ordered! The dilemma is that we didn't really get what we wanted.

The appetizer took an hour to get to the table. This was some calamari. No fault, I'm patient and that's something I can look past even if it wasn't a busy night (it wasn't tonight).

The waiter was a nice person and he was blatantly brand new... perhaps to serving. I ordered two lbs of shrimp and there was no question of peeled or not. I prefer shell on, but I got peeled. He also forgot the extras included in the bags that I ordered.

The waiter also explained that he just presumed we wanted peeled as most people order peeled.

We got a whole crab and they gave it to us in 2 pieces to save us money... counter intuitive considering my shrimp was peeled. Due to the shrimp being peeled, it also took about an hour for our dishes to come out.

I will be coming back however, as I think this was a fluke. The quality of the food was great despite the orders being off.

Waiter also said "knew I forgot something" and handed me the check. Just another thing he had forgotten about; sorry dude, no hate. I haven't had service that off in a bit.

Again, I wouldn't mind the wait if it was for a dish that I had in mind vs something a bit off.

These places are always fun and of course delicious. So many options on the menu - even if you are not a seafood lover! Apps include: fried green beans, clam chowder, crab fries, and more. They have a few pasta dishes and of course tons of seafood. Definitely get a seafood boil and try all the dipping sauces. You'll find something you love. Just wear your bib!
