We stopped in to the new location for the first time for breakfast. It is so large and spacious. We were seated promptly and service was great! Unfortunately, I didn't catch her name, but she was personable and fun to chat with.
My husband is originally from NJ and I'm from MA, so we do love NY and seeing the scenes painted on the walls always brings us back and makes us smile.
I've seen some say that prices here are high, but for what we got, I thought it was right in line with what we normally pay for breakfast. And most of the breakfast entrees included a bagel and cream cheese, so I think the price is decent. I can't speak on lunch, but my main reason for going to Chompie's is always the bagels. I love a good bagel and this is close as we get to what we get when we visit the inlaws back east.
We'll be back and we hope everyone get a server as great as ours was!

New location at 32nd St and Cactus for now has a portion of the restaurant open which is the deli portion, the sit down order seating was not open when we went there.
Pastrami Sandwich or the Jewish Sliders are our staple here. We have been dining at Chompies for many years, love their sandwiches and pastries.
Although today when we ate there, the order of the Jewish sliders use to include 3 sliders, now there are 2. Same ratio with the mile high half Pastrami use to be a larger sandwich, now on a smaller baguette.
Sandwiches are still very good, just lesser quantity.
Victoria is a Mom of 3 lovely daughters. Works 5-6 days a week. Top Notch Service. She was attentive to both my Friend and me. I asked if I could substitute
Turkey for Chicken in my Salad . I asked for Peanut dressing; did not go with Mixed Salad Shirli's "La Jalla"
Salad priced below what is shone on Google By $2.00
Brought extra Bagel Chips , tasted ok. Had Half a Bran Muffin with 2nd Cup of Coffee. There food is always
Fresh. Ate 1/2 my Salad, on A Coached Diet App

As people who have been eating at Chompie's for years, my wife and I have been looking forward to the opening of this location, and even though it's not completely open yet (the full-service restaurant section of the property is still under construction), the quick-service deli, bakery, and coffee bar is now open. We were excited to give it a try!
Chompie's has done a fantastic job with the look of the place. Clean, spacious, and inviting. I'm a bit tired of the all-too-commonplace warehouse high ceilings that cause just about every restaurant these days to be loud like a train terminal, but that aside, I really liked the feel of the place. I visited the restroom while I was there, and it was super clean and modern, too.
Now on to the good stuff: the food and drink! We stopped in for a late breakfast and ordered two original breakfast bagels with bacon. My wife had hers with scrambled egg and added a hot brewed coffee on the side for only 99 cents (because she ordered food). I ordered my sandwich with a fried egg and added a sweet cream cold brew.
The place was hopping, and all the tables were taken, so we opted for the small breakfast bar area and stools. There was a little confusion getting the food to us after we ordered. We were given a number with a table stand and told that our food would be brought to us. Instead, they called my name for the drinks and later called my name again for the food. Apparently, there had been some mix-up, and some of the staff thought we were getting food to go even though we were given a number with a table stand. No biggie! Just growing pains for a newly opened restaurant.
My wife thought her coffee was really good and easily worth the low price; my cold brew on the other hand left something to be desired. It tasted kind of like it came from a machine, and although the cold brew is supposedly on tap, I did notice that all of the other coffee drinks do come from automated machines rather than actual handcrafted espresso machines. I have to admit, this was a bit disappointing, as Chompie's has done an excellent job marketing Mokas Cafe (which is what they call their coffee bar) and has really good choices on its coffee menu.
The other disappointment, much to our surprise, was the breakfast sandwiches. We've had this sandwich previously at their now-closed PV Mall location, and it is normally huge, like most of Chompie's portion sizes. But this time, both of our sandwiches--while on large, delicious parmesan bagels--had skimpy ingredients in the middle: not much egg and not much bacon. They were tasty enough, but just a little skimpy, so I would recommend ordering this sandwich with an extra egg if they will let you do that, and perhaps add some cheese, too, to beef up these otherwise great breakfast options.
Not to be daunted, though, we went back to the counter to share a bakery item and a latte, so I ordered an almond stick and a Caramel Royale (caramel and vanilla) latte. I'm happy to say that these were winners! The almond stick was a puff pastry in the shape of an eclair, covered with almonds and icing, and filled with the right amount of almond paste. It was absolutely delicious and went great with the latte, which was deliciously balanced with the caramel, vanilla, and coffee. So not everything that comes from a machine is bad!
I spoke with a friendly person behind the counter, who told me that she loves the nitro cold brew, which definitely comes cold without ice from a tap and not from a machine. I told her that I would definitely want to come back to try it.
So, there were enough misses here to give four stars instead of five to one of my favorite local chains, but not enough to discourage me from coming back. To be sure, Chompie's has the best bagels in town, and we look forward to enjoying many of their other tasty items here in the future as we already have for many years now.
