Bubba's 33

Bubba's was not what we were expecting, although I'm not exactly sure what we were expecting. We'd driven past several times before and just never gave much thought to stopping in. Now we know we'll be back.

This is what a sports bar should be - TV's on every wall, awesome music and great food. And I'm sure some would also say a great beer selection - but since we don't really drink, I can't speak to that part.

I can speak on the food though. When I saw the fish & chips was Atlantic Cod battered using Sam Adams lager - well this Boston girl got a bit excited. I had to see if they did it justice. Atlantic cod is the best, and IMO, the only cod worth eating. It was delicious! If I had anything negative to say - it may have been cooked a little too long or the oil needed to be changed as it was more brown and less golden than it should be. But it was still quite good.

My NJ-born husband went with the Philly cheesesteak. (I'm pretty sure he thinks cheesesteaks are a food group.) I didn't get to ask him how it was, but since he ate every last bite, I'm assuming he enjoyed it. And he said we had to go there again, so I'd say he was pleased.

We'll be back! Maybe we'll try the pizza next time.

Came here after the movies.

Cool sign when walking in.

They have TVs all around.

I got the burger and it was good. My friends got a pizza, onion rings and pasta.

My kind of place.

Comfortable booths, great food, great service.

Great decor in this place with like TVs everywhere. Ya, a bit distracting, but cool. The booths are great: comfortable, reasonably private and perfectly sized.

The Stromboli here is to die for. Absolutely fantastic, and not small. I venture it's enough for 98% of the population.
