Fresh Ingredients, Made From Scratch Cooking
Local sourcing is important to us, which is why we try to use only the freshest "in season" ingredients in all of our "made from scratch" dishes. We shop local, buy local & celebrate the gift of food by transforming it into something healthy, delicious and memorable for all our patrons.

We try really hard to honor all requests for allergy & dietary needs, health preferences and specific food wants. Just ask us about it!

I haven't been to Bonfire for a few years and wow! What a pleasant surprise.

My husband and I dropped in for dinner. They had part of the parking lot blocked off for St. Patrick's Day parties. It looked and smelled like it had been well used for that purpose and honestly my expectations were low at that point... but I am very glad we persevered.

We accepted a table inside the bar, which was lively but out of sight and smell of the parking lot party area. My husband ordered a beer (safe choice) while I opted for a vodka martini - which was surprisingly good! My hopes increased...

Our entrees -- burger and salad for me, Green Chili Pork for the hubs -- arrived perfectly prepared to our special requests. It always amazes me when the server has to memorize your order and the food comes out with all your little tweaks.

Speaking of service: this is not a "fine dining"experience, and remember we chose to sit in the bar. Our server had to cover a lot of tables and with the amount of work he was doing, and in a busy bar area to boot, service was better than expected: prompt, accurate, and efficient.

Bonfire was a solid choice for a casual dinner and a drink. It's better than I remembered, and I will return!

I started going here with my wife shortly after it opened in 2019. It's a great place to go if you live in Surprise, like menus with a lot of options and want to go someplace locally owned.

Bonfire has a huge selection of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, wood-fired pizzas and entrées. Restaurants that have big menus like this aren't typically good at everything they offer, but Bonfire doesn't have that problem. We've sampled a lot of different things on their menu over the years and nothing disappoints. They have a lot of different smoked BBQ options, and I usually get the smoked brisket sandwich. They also have a giant beer menu that includes a lot of local options. The bar menu is nearly as big as their food menu, so there's always something new to try.

I like that Bonfire is locally owned. We don't have a lot of locally owned restaurants out in Surprise, so it's always nice to see something thrive that isn't a national chain. I also enjoy their outdoor patio when it's cool enough to sit outside. The atmosphere is nice, and the staff is always very friendly.

One thing to be aware of is you might get attacked by mosquitos if you sit on the patio during the wrong time of season. Bring mosquito repellant if it's that time of year! Also, Bonfire recently switched to serving beer in mason jars. It's cute but the larger size beer can be a little awkward to hold. Stick with the smaller size if you have small hands!

My only suggestion for them would be to put out some mosquito candles during mosquito season to help keep them away from the patio.

Met some out of town family there for dinner. Had not been before.
Was pleasantly surprised as this 'Sports Bar' had good service and more choices than a typical sports bar.
I had a Cajun dish that did not disappoint, and in fact I finished it even though I was STUFFED by the end.
We will stop there when we are in the area again!

PS - There is surcharge to use a Credit card, and some complain, but it was less then the 2% Cash back I get on the card I used!!
